The CRS point system comprises of two sets based on which you get a total of 1,200 points.

• Core set of points - 600
• Additional points - 600

Core points are based on:

• Skills and work experience
• Education or language skills of a Common law partner or spouse
• Transferability of skills consisting of work experience and education 

Additional points are based on:

1. Degrees, diplomas or certificates from Canada
2. Details of a Job offer from a Canadian employer
3. Nomination coming from a Canadian state, province or territory
4. Brother or sister residing as a permanent resident or citizen of Canada

Once you get a good CRS score, you just need to get your documents ready for submission. Based on your eligibility, your profile will be shortlisted from the Canada Express Entry pool of candidates. Those with the highest score are send Invitations to Apply (ITA) from the IRCC. You will be granted 60 days to submit your application for getting your Canada PR Visa.
